Formula One: Do Singapore In Style

There’s nothing better than being trackside – soaking up the atmosphere as the racing meets glamour, power and politics. The 2017 FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX is where you want to be in September, the city-state putting on a next-level street race – under lights, no less – with plenty of action, on and off-track to keep you partying long after the chequered flag has fallen. Not to mention it will be celebrating its 10th event this year.

This year we can expect fireworks on-track with Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel and Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton battling it out for the world championship – and Red Bull Racing’s Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen snapping at their heels. Off-track, the fun will continue long into the night, with this year’s entertainment line-up arguably one of the best-ever, featuring global DJ sensation Calvin Harris, pop superstar Ariana Grande, synth-pop veterans Duran Duran, US pop rockers OneRepublic, DJs The Chainsmokers, British singer-songwriters Seal, Lianne La Havas and spoken word performer George the Poet.

It’s easy to do it on any budget with single-day tickets starting from just S$78 (approximately AUD$73). As part of the event’s special 10th anniversary celebrations, a slew of ticketing specials was launched including single-day tickets for selected grandstands, a new Premier Walkabout ticket category, exciting new combination tickets and a brand new junior ticket. There’s even a special new Empress Grandstand, which offers amazing views of the cars braking for Turns 11 and 12 before entering the vaulted arch of the 108-year-old Anderson Bridge.

Want to do it like a boss? Head to the Formula One Paddock Club, where royalty, captains of industry and rock stars mix – in an exclusive enclave designed to not only get you closer to the action, but also immerse you in unbridled luxury. It is, absolutely, the finest way to enjoy Formula 1. Other hospitality options include the new industrial-themed Apex Lounge located opposite the podium, the luxurious Sky Suites, directly across from the F1 team garages, Club Suites and the Green Room on the main pit straight, and the Turn 3 Premier Grandstand for a fantastic view of the opening corners (1-3) and the action that happens there lap-after-lap.

An instant classic from its debut on the F1 calendar in 2008, Singapore is never short of action, and 2017 is expected to be a milestone celebration.

The 2017 FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX will be held from September 15-17, with more information at singaporegp.sg
