The Z1000 comes with a muscular frame and upside-down forks that look like huge Bluegum trunks. It borrows a lot from the ZX1000 Ninja, but comes into its own with radial brakes, shorter exhausts, and high bars, which add to the control and feeling of acceleration. This beast also has the gusto to deliver a mean wheelie from standstill, but there’s no need to get handle-happy and change gears high up in the rev count. Its decent ground clearance and raw boost will ensure you don’t get hunted down by bikies – let’s just hope keeping your licence isn’t a priority.
