Handy man

Tim Conrad is the Rock, Paper, Scissors world champion. Yes, that means he gets groupies

Is rock, paper or scissors your favourite?
It’d have to be paper. Only because that was my very final throw to win the tournament. I went through five hours of competition before that final throw. Some people were complaining that their hands hurt but I’ve played for way longer than that before.
Do you have your hands insured?
Supermodels get their legs insured, so I probably should get my throwing hand insured. I’ll talk to my people.
Does your world champ status attract groupies? Plus, you’re obviously good with your hands.
You’d be surprised what a gold medal can do for you, man. And there aren’t too many people who can say they’re a world champion at using their hands.
So, do you wear the medal out?
Actually, I wore it non-stop for about four or five months after I won the tournament. I only took it off to shower.
You’re from a small town in Michigan. Are you a local hero?
Absolutely. I even did a commercial. So many people come up to me in the street and ask me to play. They come into my work, grandparents ask me to sign stuff for their kids – I’m like a celebrity in my town.
