As she makes her MAXIM debut, the fashionista, foodie and fitness ambassador talks dating, social media requests and how to reach your body’s full potential…

Beautiful photo shoot, Simone and congrats on your first MAXIM cover. How do you feel?
I feel absolutely thrilled to be working with such an amazing brand. Being relatively new in this world, I feel absolutely honoured to be on a MAXIM Cover, it’s an absolute dream.

What do you love most about this MAXIM photo shoot?
If I told myself five years ago, while I was living in rainy London, that I’d be doing a photo shoot for MAXIM on a beautiful yacht in Sydney Harbour, she wouldn’t have believed me. I feel extremely lucky for the life I live, and this shoot has just captured my life in Sydney nicely.

How do you prepare yourself for a swimwear or lingerie photo shoot?
I’m extremely motivated by music, so I must have music on at all times! When I’m getting ready or on my way to a shoot, I’ll always have my music up full blast. Get some Beyonce and R&B throwbacks on and I’ll soon be the most confident person in the room! I also like to have a persistent gym routine leading up to a shoot, so I know I will be feeling my best physically and mentally.

Well, you look great. When do you feel you’re at your sexiest?
When I’m glam and in a new outfit. I love fashion, so buying a new outfit and getting myself glammed up with hair and make-up is a sure-fire way to make sure I’m feeling sexy.

Tell us a bit a bit more about yourself.
I’m a 27-year-old from London, England who is half Maltese and extremely proud of my heritage. I visit Malta most years as I have family who still live there. I studied business, psychology, textiles, and photography at college and then went on to study fashion design and marketing at university in the UK for four years. I’ve always had a creative mind and enjoy working in the fashion industry. At 22, I decided there was a big world out there to see and booked a one-way flight to Australia and have now been here for four years. I’ve been living a very free-spirited way of life which is very different from the corporate world I experienced in London. I’ve worked in different industries in between my travels, and I’ve even worked on a farm in the outback.

How did you get involved with BIOV8 and what is the human optimisation company all about?
I got involved with BIOV8 while at a photo shoot for their newest campaign and loved their mission from the get-go. Human optimisation is about optimising your body from a cellular level – from the inside-out. It’s a medical clinic who do detailed DNA and blood tests to tailor products to you so you can reach your body’s full potential. Whether it is Injury repair, weight loss, muscle health or anti-aging that’s your main goal, they have products to fast-track your progress. The products are formulated by a specialist medical team who provide science-backed solutions for their clients.

How does BIOV8 help you in your everyday life?
As someone who loves keeping fit and healthy, I’m always looking for ways to aid this. BIOV8 has helped me in various ways to help my performance when I’m at the gym – my focus with my fitness journey is strength and gaining healthy weight. I’ve always been very slim, so it takes me a long time to put on muscle, but BIOV8 has helped with this and aided my muscle gain journey. I have more energy and focus at the gym and can really see the differences in my muscle strength.

What is your best asset?
Physically, I love my eyes. They are grey/blue with a hazel ring around them, they’re quite different. I also have a very level-headed, relaxed personality and I’m a firm believer of not worrying about things you can’t change in the moment and not worrying about things that haven’t happened yet. So many people spend their life worrying about the future and things that could happen that they don’t enjoy where they are in the present.

How did you get into modelling?
My first experience within the modelling Industry was in 2017 when I was asked to compete in the Miss England Contest. I represented Bedfordshire in the finals and during the opportunity I was approached by various photographers and brands. I took a break during my travels over the last few years but after working with Chad [photographer], I’m looking forward to more exciting modelling projects in 2024.

When you’re not posing for MAXIM and modelling, what could we find you doing?
I love keeping fit, so you’ll find me on long walks or at the gym. I’m also a huge foodie, so you’ll catch me out at a new restaurant every day of the week.

What’s the funniest comment you’ve received from a follower on social media?
I have one follower who replies to EVERY SINGLE story with, “did you fall from heaven?” and this has been going on for four years! Sometimes persistence is key, but maybe not in this case! The weirdest request I get sent is whether I have an OnlyFans account. Unfortunately, guys, it’s not going to happen, sorry! I also get feet picture requests – Instagram is a crazy place!

Would you ever date one of your social media followers?
Absolutely, I have no issues with dating one of my social media followers, as long as their intentions are pure and genuine.

Describe your ideal man.
He is kind, genuine, funny, and decisive. I like men who can take control of a situation and I don’t have to look after. I want to be a girlfriend, not a mother to a man. I love romance and kind words – my love language is definitely “words of affirmation” and “physical touch”, so I love cute little gestures rather than big, expensive gifts.

What’s the best way a guy could possibly win his way to your heart?
By doing three simple things: 1. Being kind to me and others; 2. Making me feel secure and safe; 3. Being a great communicator.

What’s one thing men should always remember about women?
The little things matter more! I would much rather a man show me small, kind gestures every day over an extravagant date night once a month.

Describe your ideal date?
It would definitely involve food, red wine and a nice, cozy restaurant. We’d need to have great conversation and I also look out for things like manners and how polite he is to myself and staff. Manners are very important to me so bonus points if he opens doors, isn’t late, and is polite!

What have you learnt about men over the years?
I’ve found that men are slowly starting to be able to talk about their feelings more, which is great. Major green flag!

What’s next for you?
Well, 2024 is looking really exciting so far! I’m currently organising some upcoming brand and swimwear shoots that will be out before the end of the Australian summer. A potential move to London may be on the horizon, too, as there is so much opportunity there!
