Hey, Brittany, congrats on your first MAXIM New Zealand cover. How do you feel?
Thank you! I’m so happy to have this opportunity!
Great photo shoot. What did you love most about it?
How spontaneous the look ended up being! I was hit by a wave at the beginning of the photoshoot and my hair was completely drenched. We ended up working with it and the photos came out amazing!
How do you prepare yourself physically and mentally for a swimwear or lingerie photo shoot?
I love Pilates! It prepares me physically and also puts me in a really positive mindset. Eating healthy also helps me prepare and I have to love/feel good in the swimwear or lingerie!
What goes through your mind whilst shooting in lingerie or swimwear?
I try to think of a storyline while shooting in lingerie or swimwear and have fun and act out the storyline.
Have you ever experienced a wardrobe malfunction during a photo shoot? How did you handle it?
Wardrobe malfunctions are bound to happen! I have experienced many. I just roll with it and try to make it work or ask someone to help me fix it.
Have you had any other embarrassing moments while wearing swimwear of lingerie that you can share?
I have definitely experienced spray tan malfunctions as well during swimwear and lingerie shoots. It’s important to make sure you have a nice EVEN glow!
What’s the funniest reaction you’ve received from someone seeing you in swimwear or lingerie during a photo shoot?
People bringing out their phones immediately and taking their own content.
Well, you look stunning. What is your best asset? Physically and otherwise.
Physically, my best asset is my eyes – the windows to my soul! Otherwise, my best asset is my attitude. I always keep a positive attitude and positive mindset.
When do you feel you’re at your sexiest and why?
I feel my sexiest when I am eating healthy, working out, surrounded by nature, and with a positive mindset. You glow from the inside out!
Do you prefer the beach or countryside more?
I am a beach girl at heart.
What would people be most surprised to know about you?
I love writing music and I am learning to play the piano.
How did you get your start in the modelling industry?
I started working with photographer friends of mine and friends with brands.
You’ve been part of various Destination MAXIM tours – what are the top three things you’ve taken away from our trips?
- It’s a great way to connect and expand your network.
- There are always new passions to be discovered.
- Everyday is a chance to learn something new.
What’s been the most enjoyable Destination MAXIM trip and why?
The most enjoyable trip for me has been Bali! I loved our villas and the excursion to the rice fields and Bali had been a top destination on my list of places to visit.
How has social media influenced your career as a model?
Social Media has made it easy to connect with fellow like minded people and has been a tool in getting my work seen and shared.
What’s the funniest comment or message you’ve received from a follower on social media?
I have had someone ask if they could be shrunken and live on the bottom of my foot for the rest of their life! LOL.
What’s the most popular request you get from your followers?
To see more of me smiling and more of an insight into my day to day.
Would you ever date one of your followers?
Definitely.
What advice would you give to a man wanting to ask you out?
I prefer a little bit of creativity and an adventurous attitude over a typical dinner or movie date.
What tattoo would you never get?
I am terrified of needles I would never get a tattoo.
When you’re not posing for MAXIM, working or studying, what else would we find you doing?
Travelling, at Pilates, or hanging with my dog, Henry!
