Julia Judy

We get to know the business savvy babe from Ohio who has a passion for health and wellbeing.

Tell us a bit about your shoot
It was a bright sunny day at the infamous Breakers Resort set on a gorgeous rocky beach in West Palm, Florida. We were originally shooting in my hotel room, but every time we looked out the window, the salty beach, the powerful windy waves, and the perfect weather were all calling our names to head down to the seaside and shoot. We packed up and headed out shortly after.

Are there any other funny anecdotes you can share about this shoot?
The waves were crashing onto the rocks and the whole team was getting heavily soaked by the ocean! The photographer took her pants off and got into the water to capture the perfect shot. We all eventually gave up on trying to stay dry and decided to collaborate with nature. It was so spontaneous and memorable.

Have you ever been to New Zealand?
It’s been a dream of mine to visit! I’ve heard that the land, the people, and the vibe is absolutely beautiful. 2022 plans are in the making! I’ve seen photographs of the cliffs and beaches. I would love to go hiking or paddle boarding on the west coast of New Zealand, it looks breathtaking.

When do you feel sexy and why?
I feel sexy when I can be my authentic self, especially in lingerie of course.

What is your best asset?
I’d say my smile, I love using it.

Give us a little more background about yourself and your life story so far.
I grew up in a super rural town in Ohio, USA. I started modelling when I was 16 and loved it from the very start. It helped me build my confidence and it gave me the opportunity to learn firsthand about the fashion and beauty industry. When I was 19 I studied abroad in Florence, Italy for 4 months and I absolutely fell in love with the culture there. I learned a lot about myself and what matters in life in that time period. After Italy, I attended college at The Ohio State University and earned my 4 year degree in communication and business. I graduated last spring and now I’m living out my dream of starting my own business as a personal shopper and stylist while still modeling as well!

What would people be most surprised to know about you?
I’d say that I look more unapproachable than I really am. I consider myself very open-minded and I like to laugh and talk to people but sometimes my look can be fierce from the outside perspective if you don’t know me.

How would you describe yourself in five words?
Optimistic, creative, spontaneous, intellectual, and independent.

What would do if you weren’t modelling?
If I had to have another main career I most likely would have studied naturopathy and been a holistic doctor. I’m passionate about health and wellbeing and I think that natural medicine is fascinating. I do believe that living and organic food can be a big part of medicine.

What have you learned about men over the years?
I’ve learned that they are pretty simple creatures, haha. You have to let them think that they are right most of the time and make sure that they are not hungry. I also believe that you should let them confide in you and let them be vulnerable around you.

What’s one thing men should always know about women?
That we want them to take the lead in the relationship and we like when they adopt initiative on things.

What do you look for in a man?
Trust is the number one virtue for me. I also love confidence and ambition in a man. I like when they dream big and work hard but can relax when we’re together.

Describe your ideal date.
The perfect date would be a great bottle of wine paired with a night of stargazing together.

What can we get you at the bar?
My go to is always a Cosmopolitan Martini! Or anything tequila based.

Got a hangover cure?
A bottle of Champagne, right?

What’s your best hidden talent?
I have a good singing voice but I’ve never sung in front of anyone! I’d love to pursue music and maybe one day produce a few songs.

Do you have any phobias?
I am a perfectionist and a bit of a clean freak. My apartment and car have to be spotless. I’m scared of clutter.

Who is your girl crush and why?
Candice Swanepoel! She is my idol and has been since I first discovered her in 2010 when she became a Victoria’s Secret Angel. She is the most beautiful woman in the world to me because of her spirit and her humbleness, and she’s just breathtaking.

What’s the freakiest/weirdest thing someone has sent you via social media?
Oh boy, there have been a great amount of proposals and pick-up lines sliding into the Instagram DMs. I think the funniest one was when a guy said, “Some girls look like a snack but you look like a five-course meal made by Gordon Ramsay.” I usually delete the super creepy ones.

What is your motto in life?
Master health, wealth and happiness. And be kind to everyone.

What’s next for you? Any exciting projects on the horizon you can share with us?
I have a big cover coming up this February. I’ve had the photos for months and they finally come out in a saucy Swedish magazine just in time for Valentine’s Day!

Finally, where would you like to be in five years?
I see myself in a new city working on my fashion and styling business but I’m not sure where yet. I want to start a family but those things can’t be rushed. I also hope I’ll get a puppy in the next five years!
