Ridiculously hot MAXIM photo shoot, Brianna, congrats.
Thank you! I feel proud. I loved this shoot so much and couldn’t think of a better place for it to be featured. I loved the whole vibe – the day before the shoot I watch the movie Blue Lagoon with Brooke Shields and I was very inspired. The day was relaxed and fun, minimal effort. Neil [Dixon, photographer] is always able to capture me feeling naturally confident and sexy.
When do you feel sexy?
I feel at my sexiest when I get back from the beach. Something about the salt in my hair and heat coming off my skin really gets me feeling sensual.
What is your best asset?
Probably my ability to compartmentalise. I usually can easily put things into perspective for myself when it comes to handling stress and hardships.
Give us a little more background about yourself and your life story so far.
Well, I’m from the U.S.A, born in a small town outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I was based in New York City for six years and then L.A. for three years before moving to Australia. I’ve been modelling for eight years now — it was always a dream of mine since I was a little girl and I signed with an agency immediately after graduating from high school.
What would people be most surprised to know about you?
That I’m not materialistic at all. I think that’s something assumed about me because I’m a model, but it couldn’t be further from who I really am.
What’s the best thing about being a model and influencer?
The best thing about modelling for me is the travelling I get to do. I have agencies worldwide and have been able to experience living in multiple cities. Experiencing so many cultures and types of people has really shaped who I am and I’m proud of that.
When you’re not posing for MAXIM or on modelling jobs, what would we find you doing?
You’d find me being pulled around Bondi Beach by my two Staffies, Havana and Mila. They’re spoiled rotten, so they get most of my free time.
Besides the trolls and haters, what do you dislike about social media?
I don’t like the fact it only highlights the ups in people’s lives and hides the downs, making people seem like the have these perfect lives. I mean, I’m guilty of it — you won’t find photos of me being lonely, hurt, bored, etc… on my socials and it’s easy to think someone has the dream life and then compare it your own that’s full of hardships – but that’s not reality.
What’s the weirdest thing someone has sent you via social media?
I have a guy that sends me zoomed in photos of my earlobes from every post I make and says how much he loves them. A bit creepy but it makes me laugh.
Would you ever date one of your social media followers?
I mean, yeah, of course. If we are dating, you better be following me!
What’s one thing men should always know about women?
Men need to know that most of the time all we women need is someone to listen and empathise, not a fix.
What do you look for in a man?
I look for the ability to look inward and grow. Life is complicated and there’s constant lessons to be learnt. I love when someone is willing to grow along side of me and admit when they don’t have it all figured out.
How can a man possibly win his way to your heart?
A man can win his way to my heart by making me laugh until I cry. Do that and you’re already halfway there.
Describe your ideal date.
A picnic somewhere beautiful and private. It’s so romantic when a man puts effort in because it’s harder and more thoughtful than just making a dinner reservation.
What’s next for you?
Just settling into life in Australia. It’s a big life decision to decide to move countries permanently and I’m really enjoying finding my place here. ■
