Nicole Thorne

If you’re not one of her 1.4 million-plus Instagram followers or haven’t double tapped one of her daily posts, you’re missing out on one of Australia’s hottest handles on social media…

Quite the location for this MAXIM shoot, Nicole. Where is it?
Yes, it’s gorgeous. We set out to really showcase Lime Samui Villas – the beautiful location in Thailand where we were staying. I’ve worked together with Rocky [photographer] a lot in the past, so it was really just about having fun and I think we got a lot of shots that we didn’t really even intend on doing. Being able to shoot and watch the sunset at the same time and incorporate that into the photos was the best.

Well, you look gorgeous. When do you feel sexy?
Thank you! I probably feel my sexiest when I can just be myself… or the day after a good spray tan [laughs] – I’m naturally very pale.

What’s your best asset?
I get a lot of comments on my eyes, so I’ll go with that.

Give us a brief rundown of your life story so far.
I grew up in Brisbane and ended up studying make-up and beauty but it was never really for me. Obviously, as soon as Instagram launched I downloaded it, but only recently was I able to become an influencer and turn it into an income. It’s also something fun I can do while working and studying design further, so I can up-skill my full-time job. I juggle both reasonably well.

What do you do when you’re not posing for MAXIM?
I am really only an Influencer/part-time model – the rest of the time you can find me at work where I do design and printing.

What do you like doing for fun?
I love going to new places and discovering new things, whether it be a holiday or new restaurant. And I love going out with my friends and spending time with them — a little party never hurt anyone.

What have you learned about men over the years?
Wow, huge question! I have learnt a lot. Mostly that all men are different – some are ruthless and some are teddy bears, but all of them are way more emotional than any woman I’ve ever met!

What does a man have to do to win you over?
Just being really supportive and having the same ambition and drive as I have plays a huge part in winning me over.

Describe your perfect date?
Someone who will make me a vegan dinner then take me out drinking and do some terrible dance moves with me.

If you had to take MAXIM on a date, what would it entail?
First, I would find out what you like to do and then do my best to impress. I know MAXIM loves to travel so it may even include a little getaway.

Nice! What’s one thing men should always remember about women?
Women just want men to listen to what we say and remember what we have said.

What’s the best piece of advice anyone has ever given you?
I was always told not to put anything in writing — especially when mad — if I wouldn’t read it out aloud to my grandmother.

What’s next for you?
Just forever trying to work harder and build up my Instagram, to be in a comfortable position in life, and hopefully more travelling soon and more brands to work with to keep it all interesting.

Finally, finish this sentence: Public nudity is…
Illegal, but rules are meant to be broken.
