A True Engineering Masterpiece

The Mangusta 104 REV is the revolutionary, entry level yacht in the iconic Maxi Open range…

For the past 20 years, luxury yacht builder Overmarine Group have established themselves as high captains in the industry – with elite-performance superyachts like their Mangusta Maxi Open line. Mangusta’s new 32 metre sport yacht, the Mangusta 104 REV, is Italian built, Russian designed, and inspired by a British car – all of the above.

The sporty lines of the boat were designed by renowned designer Igor Lobanov and inspired by 1930s sports cars. “As a car designer I see Mangusta lines as having something quite automotive about them, a bit like a Jaguar with a long bonnet and a nice shape” he says.

Seeing in a new era of Mangusta Maxi Open yachts, the floor-to-ceiling windows, aggressive curved profile, and open entertaining space, are all designed with Mediterranean cruising and partying in mind.

At 31.8 metres, the yacht has four cabins that can accommodate up to 10 guests; including a private master stateroom, VIP room, and two guest quarters. The main saloon includes a bar highlighted by three skylights that let through plenty of sun light.

For more entertainment, the aft door opens like the roof of a convertible car, revealing an epic 36 square-metre, fully-equipped sundeck beach area with plush sofas and a outdoor bar, while the huge 60 square-metre forward area offers guests a sunbathing area and an infinity pool – where they can indulge to the max. A concealed garage under the aft area holds a tender boat and three seat jet-ski for side missions.

The 104 REV can be operated from the main wheelhouse or the entertaining sundeck, and is powered by twin MTU 16V 2000 engines with a top speed of 35 knots (64 km) with a range of 370 nautical miles (685 km) at a 25-knot (46 km) cruising speed. Veem gyro stabilisers ensure smooth cruising even at low speeds and in all sea conditions (excluding typhoons and pirates), taking the range up to 1046 km.

Whatever the destination the owners/guests have in mind, the Mangusta 104 REV will allow them to reach it, as long as they like to be indulgence – and then some. T
