Ariarne Lepine

The Australian model, influencer and social media star, you should be following, returns to MAXIM for her sensational cover feature debut…

Awesome cover shoot, Ariarne, and a big welcome back to MAXIM. How does it feel the second time around?
It’s really exciting and I’m so grateful to have this opportunity to work with MAXIM again. I had such a great time shooting with you!

What did you love about this photo shoot?
I really love working with Neil [Dixon, the photographer] as he always takes such great shots, and I really liked that the location was a different to the usual beach shots. Although, it’s currently winter here in Sydney, so I was trying to think warm thoughts the whole time!

Well, as always, you look stunning. What’s the sexiest thing about you?
My smile. And I definitely always feel my sexiest after a long day at the beach when I’m sun kissed.

You grew up riding horses and competing in equestrian events, right?
Ah, I love the old equestrian events! Unfortunately, I don’t ride anymore as keeping a horse is quite the expense – thanks mum and dad! But yeah, I love to go for a ride on the beach or through a paddock whenever the opportunity arises.

Didn’t ever contemplate trying out for the Olympics?
Definitely not! I’m not the best under pressure, so the thought of the Olympics would make me ill with nerves!

Ever have any injuries or accidents while on horseback?
I had a bad one when I was younger – I was bucked off and split my jaw open and gave myself a nasty concussion. Thankfully nothing worse though!

Ouch. You were born in Sydney but moved to Queensland when you were very young. Now you’re back living in Sydney but your family is still in Queensland. So, the big question is: who do you go for when the rugby league State of Origin footy is on?
The Maroons, of course!

Last time we chatted, you hadn’t been back to see your family due to COVID. Have you managed to do so now?
Yes, I was lucky enough to spend a few days with my family down in Osborn House in the Southern Highlands. It was a great getaway filled with tennis, amazing food and wine, spa treatments… the whole lot! My sister travels to Sydney frequently for work so I’m lucky enough to see her quite often, too.

Have you been back overseas for your modelling career or otherwise?
Unfortunately, all my plans to model overseas had to get put on hold because of COVID, but I’m hoping to go at the end of this year.

You have a Cert III and IV in fitness – if you weren’t modelling would you be a PT?
Honestly, I’m not too sure if I would’ve followed the PT route. I’d like to think I’d be working in fashion, in some other capacity, if modelling didn’t work out.

How do you stay looking so fit?
Pilates, lots of walking, the occasional – and very bad – hit of tennis and I also have a PT who takes great care of me.

Being an influencer, how do you keep your social media audience coming back for more?
Dogs and fashion content – you can’t go wrong with these, right?!

Would you ever date one of your online followers?
Yeah, I wouldn’t see a problem with that, although I’m currently very happily in a relationship.

What have you learnt about men over the years?
Ooh, great question! Probably that men really, and I mean REALLY, can’t multi- task when on the phone. That’s it – that’s all I have learnt!

You’ve told us before that the way a man can win his way to your heart is with hot chips. Anything else?
Cute dogs, humour, kindness and he has to be OK with me having half my wardrobe on the floor at any given moment.

If you had to take MAXIM on a date, what would it entail?
Hawaii – attempting to surf, having hot chippies and hanging with lots of cute dogs. You down?

We’re there with bells on! So, what do you like to do for fun?
I like to think of keeping fit as a hobby – pilates and I really enjoy long walks to clear my head. Shameless TikToks, as well!

What’s next for you?
I’m hoping to move overseas and model in Europe. You’ll have to follow my journey! ■
