Jayde Heiser

Model, influencer and down-to-earth babe. Yes, this Sydney stunner returns to MAXIM with yet another outstanding feature shoot. You’re welcome…

Hello again, Jayde, and welcome back to MAXIM. What have you been up to since you first appeared in our pages in August 2019?
Thank you so much! Gosh, that feels like so long ago now, but since then I was lucky enough to travel to New York, L.A., Miami, Mexico and Cape Town for work. I feel very grateful to have had these opportunities – especially with COVID.

This is another great photo shoot. What did you love most about it?
This shoot was inspired by Victoria’s Secret and shot in a really cool studio in Sydney. It was so beautiful and I love how it’s always so easy with Neil [Dixon, the photographer] – it’s all about the good vibes when you’re shooting.

Well, as always, you look gorgeous. When do you feel sexy?
Thanks. For me, it’s about feeling strong and confident in your own body, not comparing yourself to others and staying true to your unique self. Dancing is one of my favourite ways to express myself physically and that’s when I feel this way.

What is your best asset, physically or otherwise?
I get a lot of compliments about my eyes but otherwise I think it’s my kindness and how I always try to see the good in others.

Give us a little more background about yourself and your life story so far.
I’m from a family of all girls – I have two younger sisters and I’m a big homebody. I have grown up on the northern beaches in Sydney which I feel extremely grateful for. It’s so peaceful and grounding and such a nice escape after a day’s work. I have modelled for seven years now and have learnt so much along the way. Travelling the world from a young age taught me things I would have never of learnt and definitely gave me the ability to grow as a person. I absolutely love my job and feel so blessed!

What would people be most surprised to know about you?
Probably that I’m a big homebody but put me in a room full of music and I won’t stop dancing.

What do you do when you’re not modelling or on Instagram?
I’m in the kitchen pretty much 24/7. As soon as I get home from work I love to wind down, play some music and get cooking.

Being a homebody, you wouldn’t have had too much trouble with handling the COVID-19 restrictions and the whole isolation thing then?
Actually, not too bad. I mean in the beginning it was great – I was making the most out of the situation and was loving just being at home and having a nice break. A few months in, though, it got tough knowing that we won’t be able to travel anytime soon to see family, friends, work commitments etc… but the reality is we’re all in this together and it’s so important to remind yourself what we do have, like our health and people we love.

What’s the first thing you will do once all travel restrictions are lifted?
I’ll be on the first flight over to England and Italy to see family and friends.

What’s one thing men should always remember when it comes to women?
Treat women with love and respect always.

What do you look for in a man?
Loyal, kind, respectful, funny, hardworking and clean.

How can a man win his way to your heart?
Being a gentleman, loyal, respectful, kind and wearing an amazing cologne does wonders.

If you had to take MAXIM on a date, what would it entail?
There’s so many beautiful places to choose from, so this is a hard one! Probably Greece – exploring the islands in the day and heading back to the mainland for a beautiful sunset dinner and drinks.

What do you enjoy most about being an influencer?
I love the opportunities and connecting with various brands to promote something that I’m passionate about and love. It’s such a good platform for creating content for your followers to get to know you more.

What do you dislike about it?
The amount of time spent on your phone – it’s so important to have a detox from your mobile every now and again.

What’s next for you? Any exciting projects on the horizon you can share with us?
Stay tuned… for now, everything’s up in the air due to COVID. ■
