Kasidee Rose

Time to get acquainted with this resilient, empowering, eccentric, passionate and vivacious American beauty…

Outstanding photo shoot, Kasidee. What do you love most about this MAXIM feature?
I love that this is my first publication and am honoured to be sharing this experience with MAXIM!

Tell us a bit about yourself, Kasidee.
I was born in Las Vegas Nevada in the US. I’m a small town desert girl from the Southern areas of both California and Utah. I chose to move to Maui, Hawaii because I love the ocean and this lifestyle has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. I’m so in love with Hawaiian culture and feel very connected with the ’Ãina.

Your Instagram profile says, “Dissolve • Reconstruct • Evolve” – explain the reason and meaning behind choosing these words.
The past two years have been a huge spiritual transformation for me. To me these words mean dissolve the pain, reconstruct the ego and evolve the soul.

You have some very cool and epic art on your body. Take us through your tattoos.
All of my tattoos have deep meaning behind them. I got my first tattoo on my thigh when I was 17 in memory of my grandma and the rest of my leg is covered in flowers which is a representation of my family tree. Most of my other pieces are very personal and have a long story behind them. I always choose to get a tattoo when I’m going through a transition and am currently working on finishing my right sleeve which stands for growth and all the positive experiences in my life.

When do you feel sexy?
I feel sexiest when I’m in touch with my true essence. My favourite way to express this is through the release of my sensual energy. One of the most beautiful things to me is sharing my body and energy with another person. Raw human connection is the sexist thing on this planet.

When you’re not posing for MAXIM what are you doing?
If I’m not working on projects and modelling, I’m somewhere on an island playing with my dogs, eating fruit and drinking fresh coconuts on the beach.

What else can you tell us about your life and career so far?
Most of my life I’ve faced incredible challenges, but I’ve always found the strength to overcome. A crazy fact about my life is that I was born with a birth defect called Chiari malformation and I had to undergo brain surgery when I was 16 years old leaving me paralysed for a couple months. As for my career, it’s crazy to think that only three years ago I was living in my car on Venice Beach California working three jobs just to make ends meet. I always love the challenge of chasing dreams. Following my intuition and taking that leap of faith helped me shed that small-town mindset and expand my potential which guided me to find a job in fashion design and be discovered as a model in Los Angeles.

Have you ever been to Australia?
I actually got my passport in February this year because I was planning a trip to Australia which I had to postpone due to COVID-19. It’s been my dream place to travel to for the past couple years. I love the ocean so much and can’t wait to have the life changing experience of witnessing and diving the Great Barrier Reef. I find so much beauty in how vast the land is and diverse the culture feels. I’m so in love with native history and every time I explore other cultures it makes me feel more connected to my American Indian roots. I’m also so excited about the recent 7,000 year-old Aboriginal archeological sites that were just discovered back in July this year in the Cape Bruguieres Channel.

Where’s one place you would love to travel to once COVID-19 allows it?
Australia! I would love to backpack through your country for a couple of months and immerse myself in the wild nature of The Lucky Country. I’d have to say my favourite aspect of the land is how intense and fierce nature is. I’m a bit untamed myself and being in those kinds of environments makes me feel strong and challenged.

What’s one thing you’d change about the world?
We’re basically at a standstill with what our current global systems can do. There is no global strategy and you have this constant power struggle to be in charge without regard for our future. If I could change one thing in this world, I’d do a wholesale system-wide infrastructure rebuild that uses all the best bits of tech and culture from all our history. It would be completely open and obsessed with building better and stronger so one day every human on Earth can point to a true global strategy, know where they fit in and how to be a valuable part of this world.

How does a guy win his way to your heart?
I’m a very raw and open person, so the most important qualities in a man for me are vulnerability, compassion, strength, respect and honesty. But the number one way for a man to win my heart is to leave me free and wild and love me for exactly who I am and, of course, he has to be OK with the fact that I LOVE WOMEN!

What do you find sexy about men?
A man who is confident and has his life together. Someone who I can team up with so we can help build each other’s dreams — now that shit’s sexy!

What’s one thing a guy should always know about women?
Embrace the strength of the feminine.

Describe your perfect date.
Roll me a fat spliff and take me to the beach – I like the simplicity of connecting with another person.

Finish this sentence: Public nudity is…
A raw expression of the pure human form.

Your Instagram feed in filled with photos of you in your birthday suit. What do you love about being naked?
I feel most myself when I’m nude. There’s nothing like the freeing feeling of being stripped down to your core. I like myself most when I’m naked because there’s nothing to hide.

What’s the best piece of advice anyone has ever given you?
Growing up, my Nana and Papa always told me, “You are not your circumstances. You are your possibilities.”

What’s next for you?
I’m in the process of looking for an investor to help me start my dream project. I want to create a safe space for foster children by creating a global based foster care community. I want to give disadvantaged kids the opportunities I never had growing up. A really important thing that is overlooked in our world is proper mental health evaluation and I would really love to bring awareness to this global crisis. ■
