Rosanna Faraci

The supermodel, turned photographer and Ultra Tune model mentor makes her MAXIM cover debut…

Tell us a bit about your shoot
This photoshoot is about empowerment, confidence and a strong independent woman. Less is more! It’s always a pleasure jumping in front of the camera for the talented Peter Coulson.

Are there any other funny anecdotes you can share about this shoot?
This is definitely strange circumstances as it was during our first lockdown so I did my own hair and make-up and styling. It’s amazing how resourceful you can be when you need to be.

Tell us more about your involvement with Ultra Tune and what that company means to you.
I have such great respect for Sean Buckley from Ultra Tune and what he has done with the company. It’s all about giving people a second chance to shine. Ultra Tune was the major sponsor for my TV show Out and About with Rosanna. I had such great opportunities during this time doing all the MAXIM Hot 100 interviews in Sydney and LA. I also did the behind the scenes interviews and special documentary on the making of the Ultra Tuna ads with Charlie Sheen and Pamela Anderson. I love Ultra Tune’s approach of being fearless in the face of controversy.

Have you ever been to New Zealand?
Yes I have been to New Zealand. When I started modelling I spent time there doing lingerie ads and commercials. My favourite spot in New Zealand is Auckland as there is so much to do if you’re a daredevil. Also the people are so warm and caring.

When do you feel sexy and why?
I feel sexy all the time as I know who I am and to me confidence is sexy; being comfortable in your own skin.

What is your best asset?
I would have to say my best asset is my legs. I was the legs and butt for the packaging of the Kardashian pantyhose line for years. I also think personality-wise it’s my compassion and understanding towards others.

Give us a little more background about yourself and your life story so far.
I started off modelling all over the world and have mainly been booked for underwear campaigns billboards, main hostess Deal or no Deal and swimwear on motivational speaker Anthony Robbins’ Fiji resort ads. I also won the trifecta in fashions on the field Caulfield, Flemington and the Dubai World Cup. Now I spend most of my time behind the camera. Although I must say it was great getting back in front of camera for this photoshoot.

What would people be most surprised to know about you?
People would be most surprised how approachable I am and my cheeky sense of humour.

How would you describe yourself in five words?
Kind, loyal, fun, adventurous and motivated.

How long have you been modelling and what would do if you weren’t modelling?
I’ve been modelling for 20 years and now do photography.

What have you learned about men over the years?
I’ve learnt that men always appreciate you more if you’re just your authentic self.

What’s one thing men should always know about women?
For me personally a man should know to trust their inner strength and be humble and kind and honest. So simple and so effective.

What do you look for in a man?
In a man I look for kindness, compassion, motivation, honesty, loyalty and a deep connection that words are not needed to communicate. I love a man who knows when he finds the right woman who will move heaven and earth to be with her.

Describe your ideal date.
My ideal dates are the ones that are not planned and you just go with the flow and have a giggle together about it.

What can we get you at the bar?
You can get me a martini at the bar thanks.

Got a hangover cure?
Sweat it out and go for a walk.

What’s your best hidden talent?
My hidden talent is I have this superpower that I will make you feel safe comfortable and that you can achieve anything. I love seeing people reach their full potential.

Do you have any phobias?
Sharks and deep water.

Who is your girl crush and why?
My girl crush is J.Lo because she is a go-getter and every obstacle she turns into an opportunity. She’s a true chameleon. Angelina Jolie has unique beauty and confidence, yet is mysterious.

What’s the freakiest/weirdest thing someone has sent you via social media?
Hmmmmm. I’m still waiting.

What is your motto in life?
Do what you can with what you have and where you are!

What’s next for you? Any exciting projects on the horizon you can share with us?
Firstly get through this pandemic. I’ve published my Black and White Moods photography book so would love to get it in some stores rather than just online. Maybe do another MAXIM shoot, haha! I constantly have photography gigs which is my passion.

Finally, where would you like to be in five years?
Photographing models in exotic locations and publishing my second book. I also would love to be able to do segments for Out and About with Rosanna where I cover holiday destinations. And sharing amazing moments with the man of my dreams.
