Ciara Price

This is your first time posing for MAXIM. How does it feel?
It feels amazing! I’m so excited and proud to have accomplished a lot for a girl my age and I couldn’t be happier being in MAXIM. I love this magazine!

What did you love about doing the MAXIM shoot? Was it the Patrón Café shots at 8am?
Patrón has yet to fail me. And it was amazing to be in such a small hotel room and make everything look like it was done in so many locations. Something about feeling sexy in a so-called “man’s world” is very empowering.

You’ve been to Australia four times. What’s your favourite thing about our fine country?
The boys and the beaches.

How do Australian men differ to those in your homeland?
The shorts are shorter. Those budgie smugglers, I love them! And the quality of men is way different. I live in LA and when you’re talking to a guy they’re kind of looking around, seeing who else they can talk to. That doesn’t happen with guys in Australia. They actually look into your eyes when talking to you and it’s refreshing.

You’ve been linked to AFL player Lance “Buddy” Franklin and the NRL’s Mitchell Pearce. Who was the better date?
No, Mitchell and Buddy are just really good friends. Buddy is super fun, carefree, and likes to have a great time. Mitchell is a very dedicated, focussed, and determined player but Buddy is extremely talented. I prefer AFL players over the rugby league guys because I like taller men. I’ve had short boyfriends before and I wasn’t able to wear heels, damn it!

What’s one thing men should always remember about women?
We like to laugh. I’m super corny, so the cheesy pick-up lines? Yeah, they all work. Try not to be serious when you’re saying it – just have fun and be funny about it.

What’s the best pick-up line?
Well, it’s not really a pick-up line, but you know when you say something and the other person is like, “Oh, that’s so us!” It’s so corny it’s good. My other favourite is, “How much can a polar bear?”

Enough to break the ice?
Yes, you got it in one!

Believe us, we’ve tried them all… with zero results. Speaking of which, where do men go wrong with women?
I’m not a very touchy-feely person but I like a guy who strokes my hand or gives me back tickles and stuff like that. Men don’t do enough of it. They’re more like, “Um… what are you going to do for me?” No, what are YOU going to do for ME?!

What can we get you at the bar?
I’m a sucker for wine. Whenever there’s wine involved it’s sure to be a good night. A nice Pinot Noir is good but I’m not the biggest socialite. I’m more of a movie-holic, and I play a lot of Xbox.

Describe your perfect date.
Instead of taking me out for dinner, take me for dessert. I like guys who do the opposite and don’t follow the guidelines. I also like guys who don’t mind fattening me up and who aren’t just going to take me out for a salad. Oh, and I love cheap wine. I’m the cheapest date ever! You don’t need to go overboard to please me.

So, would you ever go on a date with a fan?
No, because fans have all these fantasies about people they admire and I know how they feel. I’m a closet nerd. I’m always on my computer and I was actually working with a cell phone company doing technical support before I joined Playboy. I was taking apart phones, fixing them, and putting them back together.

Nice segue, Ciara. How did you become a Playboy Playmate?
When I was 18, a photographer in Boston asked me to pose for Playboy and I said, “No! I’d never do that.” Then, when I turned 21, he came back and said he thought I really had a chance, we could submit photos, and no-one would have to know. So I said, “OK, you know what, I’m never going to look like this ever again, so
why not?!” As soon as he submitted the photos I got a call from Playboy
and the next week I was in LA!

You’ve been on the cover of Playboy three times. How do you prepare yourself for their shoots?
Most girls just stop eating and go to the gym but I’m, like, ordering pizzas the night before. You have to prepare yourself mentally but I like to do whatever makes me feel comfortable. Sure, there’s the physical aspect, but you can’t psych yourself out. If you do then all your emotions come through in the photos. Sometimes after a shoot I look at a photo and I’m like, “Oh, that girl looks scared.”

What’s the best Playboy party you’ve been to?
There’ve been a few, but probably Hef’s Midsummer Night’s Dream in August 2011. It was a cool Egyptian theme and Hef was randomly doing Jello shots with us. Then he got up and started dancing. I was very afraid for him.

Does all the action really happen in The Grotto?
It all happens in the VIP areas. Obviously, there are plenty of gorgeous girls who attract a lot of attention and there are stripper poles everywhere. I love strip clubs and I admire girls who know how to move their bodies. Oh, and Pauly Shore and Corey Feldman are always lurking around. Pauly’s like, “Can I put my sexy arm around your sexy body?” I was like, “Huh?”

When do you feel sexy?
I feel my sexiest when I’m playing video games, in the nude, on my couch.

How often do you hang around the house naked?
Oh, every time I’m home. All day, every day.

When was the last time you did a nudie run?
Probably in an hour. No, this morning! Nah, it was when I went back home to visit my family. I live in LA but I’m originally from Maine, New England. They live right near the beach, so it’s a good spot for a nudie run.

Finally, have you got a message for our PM, Kevin Rudd?
Yes. Please make all your dollar bills the same size. For some reason it bothers me.
