How does it feel to be on the cover of MAXIM’s First Birthday Issue, Lauryn?
It’s a big issue and it’s a hard act to follow the likes of previous cover girls such as Jennifer Hawkins, but I was pretty excited when you asked me. I’m very privileged, so hopefully I do as good a job as the other girls who’ve graced your covers!
Why did you decide to do the shoot?
I’ve been watching MAXIM grow for the past year and every cover I’ve seen has been a real hit. I look at girls all the time, as I love admiring beauty when I see it, and MAXIM has done a really good job of harnessing that in the past 12 months. I was over the moon when I got the call.
How did you feel doing it?
Surprisingly, I felt really good. I was a little self-conscious because I’d been training so hard for boxing and I thought I’d look too muscly, but everyone made me feel really comfortable and I had a ball.
