As she makes her MAXIM cover girl debut, meet IMOGEN LOVELL – the new Ultra Tune babe starring alongside Charlie Sheen in an all-new TV commercial coming soon…
Hey Imogen, congrats on your first-ever MAXIM cover. How do you feel?
Nothing can describe the feeling of being on my home soil and being able to see myself in such a classy yet little sexy magazine in my own country. Even better it’s the lucky last of the year and I’m over the moon. I’m feeling very blessed right now.
What did you love most about this photo shoot?
The team and the atmosphere they bought to the shoot. When you have a team that just laughs, gets things done and you’re all in sync with each other, it makes things just fly through. I’m super stoked to have had such an amazing day with the MAXIM team – I walked away feeling on top on the moon. Thanks guys, you’re truly amazing!
When do you feel sexy?
When I’m wearing my favourite high heels and I’ve just had my hair done.
What is your best asset?
Definitely my eyes. They are moody eyes so they change from yellow speckles, and blue to a dark blue ring with light blue inside, and can even go almost a hazel colour. They’re crazy to watch but they’re definitely the mirror to my soul.
When you’re not posing for MAXIM what do you do?
I’m either travelling or studying to become a trainer, teacher and assessor. I’m also a cosmetic tattooist, which I’m completely addicted to, and I’ve just started my nursing diploma so I have way too many things going on at the moment. But that’s just to name a few – the rest are top secret and in the works but you guys will find out soon enough.
So you’re just a tad busy then?
Yeah, I’m one of those people who either do everything and go hard or I do nothing at all – I can’t have in between.
Tell us a bit about yourself.
Well, I’m the eldest of six children – four girls, two boys – and I absolutely love it. I come from an amazing family and great parents. In high school I got a scholarship and was sports captain – I was a little nerd at school. I just loved learning and managed to kill it while running amok at the same time and being the naughty rebel of my family. I literally travelled the world for years and I only recently woke up and decided I knew my future goals, what I want and how to achieve it all.
What would people be most surprised to know about you?
That I’m very kind hearted and family orientated. Even though I travel a lot I get homesick so easily. I think people Judge me from my Instagram and think I’m some stuck-up girl but I’m far from.
Agreed. How would you describe yourself in five words?
Fun, crazy – in a good way – down-to-earth, emotional and passionate.
Being part of the Ultra Tune team, what’s your take on the controversy surrounding past Ultra Tune ads either being politically incorrect or sexist?
I think people need to really relax and see the funny side of the ads as we are all too serious these days. Sometimes you just to have a sense of humour.
You recently worked with famous actor Charlie Sheen on a new Ultra tune TV commercial to be released early next year. What was that like?
Charlie sheen was actually such a down-to-earth guy, a complete and utter professional and gentleman. He was very kind hearted and always made sure everyone was feeling OK. He didn’t act like he was better than any of one of us and I truly loved working with the man himself. Hopefully I get to work with him again one day in the future.
What’s your role in the ad?
Well, I was supposed to play his girlfriend but we changed things quickly and I became one of the Ultra Tune Rubber Girls instead. I got to say one of the naughtiest lines of them all, which I won’t disclose – you’ll all have to wait and see – it’s actually hilarious. There was definitely plenty of funny moments on the set.
Did Mr Sheen put the moves on any of you?
No! He was honestly an utter gentleman, definitely not one bit sleazy and he made us all feel very welcomed. I can’t say a bad word about him – he was amazing to work with.
Describe your ideal man.
A guy who loves me endlessly, would walk over hot coals for me and stick by me even if I’ve done something right or wrong. Someone who would always stand by my side and stick up for me no matter what the problem is. It’s not about looks these days, it’s all about the way they treat me.
How does a man win his way to your heart?
It’s simple – great food, amazing wine and don’t forget the chocolates!
What have you learnt about men over the years?
That they’re all just as crazy as women. I thought women were crazy but men? My gosh! I’ve learnt you can’t give them too much of a good thing or they run a mile. But you can’t give them less, either, or they start to annoy me. I hate clingy men. I feel like most men are just plain crazy – they say one thing and do another.
What’s one thing men should always remember about women?
That we are a different breed and you need to learn how to walk that fine line of keeping us interested but not be too clingy. Just remember that we are over the top and never know what we want ourselves, so don’t try and guess or you will probably get your head bitten off.
Would you ever date one of your social media followers?
I would never say never.
If you had to take MAXIM on a date, what would it entail?
I’d take you to some of my all-time favourite places starting at Rockpool in Melbourne, then getting on a plane to Sydney and going to some hidden place – I just adore an adventure. At the end the night we would end up at Versace Hotel in the Gold Coast so we get to wake up hungover and sun baking at the beautiful pool with cocktails and champagne.
