Mechanical Monster

The Classified Moto ‘Frank’…

Exceptionally fast, yet beautifully ugly, ‘Frank’ is essentially a two-wheeled mechanical version of Frankenstein’s Monster. Built by custom bike shop Classified Moto — known for building The Big Wheel motorcycle and Daryl’s bike from The Walking Dead. With an endless choice of junkyard, Classified chose the 2007 Triumph Speed Triple as a base, while also taking many parts from a Honda VFR800, among many, many others. In addition to the front STI Black Diamond tyre and aluminum alloy wheel, Frank rocks a (purposely) scary-looking 11-inch-wide ATV rear tyre — giving the bike a 40 percent street and 60 percent off-road blend, perfect for the beach or the bends. With over 130 horses, the engine inners remain stock, but there’s new exhaust pipework and an exposed sub frame, which hugs the back of the engine and exits right under the custom leather seat unit. But is it street legal? It would probably be better for its reputation if it isn’t wasn’t. Either way, it could always find work as an Autobot Frankenstein in the next Transformers film. ■
