Anastasia Koroleva

Hey Anastasia, tell us a bit about yourself.
Well, I was born and educated in a small town near Samara City in Russia, and as a kid I dreamt of becoming a model, like all girls do I guess. I participated in a beauty contest when I was 17 and ended up being one of the top 10 models in Samara. After the competition the organisers offered me modelling work in St. Petersburg so I moved cities and here I am today.

What is Samara famous for?
Its beautiful girls, of course! If you plan to visit, maybe come in 2018 where you can see the full flavour of the city and its great people at the FIFA World Cup, where it will be held. You will not regret it.

Do you ever regret moving to St. Petersburg?
I absolutely love Samara but I just had to move to St. Petersburg — when an opportunity like this comes along, that sees your personal ambitions go beyond the borders of your birth city, you take it. There’s just more options in St. Petersburg.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I don’t know. I love warm weather so I’d probably choose a country with a warm climate and beautiful beaches.

What do you love most about the beach?

Once you’re out past the break it’s nothing but you and the sea. You’re at the mercy of Mother Nature which is fascinating.

Your shoot looks beautiful.
Thank you. I’m very happy that I finally get to grace the pages of your magazine.

The feeling is mutual. What’s your best asset?
My expressive eyes.

Have you ever been to Australia?
No, but I would love to! Maybe someone can invite me?

Done! What else do you know about our fine country?
Miranda Kerr, Kylie Minogue, Hugh Jackman… Also, that you have one of the most unusual-looking opera houses in the world, the largest reef in the world, and one of the best Flying Doctor services in the world. Oh, and that Captain James Cook discovered Australia in 1770.

Impressive! Speaking of men, what do you find sexy about them?
The mind, eloquence, and humour. A man must be clever and have a good sense of humour. Plus I want to learn everything from him and to feel his care and protection. A man should always take care of his girlfriend and always be a huge support for her.

Describe your perfect date?
There’s no one perfect date — each time should be a surprise and you should always leave a date with the best emotions.

Hypothetically speaking, where would we go on a date?
We would go out of the city. I like wild nature.

If you could spend a day with anyone in the world, who would it be?
The creative director of the Victoria’s Secret, Edward Razek. I’d love to see the process of his work. I am a big fan.

What’s one thing you’d change about the world?
I would remove all the military and politicians.

If you weren’t modelling what would you be doing?
I’d probably be working designing or servicing cars.

What’s the best piece of advice anyone has ever given you?

Never deviate from your dreams and turn them into goals.

Finally, what’s next for you?

Well, I want to be on the cover of MAXIM and also become the face of a big campaign. I’m single, so I think, “Why the hell not?” Plus, I have a great body. I’m pretty blessed in that way, so why the hell not share it with the world?
