MAN OF THE YEAR

PRINCE HARRY

Last year’s winner, Charlie Sheen, recently helped pay off Lindsay Lohan’s debts by sending her a $100,000 cheque. Obviously, he’s looking to mount a title defence. Too bad he can’t compete with the Ginger Prince, who, as is his custom as an alpha male, was snapped naked in Vegas in August at a private party (welcome to 2012, dude – privacy is dead). All accounts suggest it was a raging, often clothesless weekend. Better quality than the Kate Middleton topless pics, too.

MAN OF THE YEAR – Runner Up 1
Ben Roberts-Smith

The Victoria Cross winner, who is also the most highly decorated current serving member of the Australian Defence Force, earned the honour for his selfless heroics during an offensive where his patrol came under heavy fire in Afghanistan in 2010. Take that, Yumi Stynes!

MAN OF THE YEAR – Runner Up 2
Stephen Hawking

It emerged this year that the theoretical physicist, 70, was a patron of Freedom Acres swingers club, California. You can find the Prof “in the back ‘play area’ laying on a bed fully clothed with two naked women gyrating all over him,” a fellow swinger revealed. Go, Hawko!

WOMAN OF THE YEAR

MIRANDA KERR

Fresh from her triumph in our Hot 100, our most retina-pleasing export sustains a year of winning by also coming up trumps as our favourite woman. There’s no real reason – she didn’t save a bunch of orphans from a fire or anything (we’re sure she would, though) – but as a mother, a perennial hottie at the top of her game, and an entrepreneur (anyone for organic skincare?), how many more boxes really need ticking?

WOMAN OF THE YEAR – Runner Up 1
Lindsay lohan

At the end of 2011 we said 2012 would be LiLo’s year. Guess our clairvoyance powers leave a bit to be desired. But that earns our pity vote. In the past couple months alone she’s punched
a woman and been urged to return to rehab (she allegedly downs 2L of vodka a day).

WOMAN OF THE YEAR – Runner Up 2
The Queen

What a year for her majesty! She celebrated her Diamond Jubilee (that’s 60 years in the throne), oversaw the Olympics, and starred alongside Daniel Craig-as-007 in a short film for the Opening Ceremony. And word is she acquired yet another pastel-coloured hat. One is killing it!
