Delta Goodrem
In a year which saw the entertainment world practically shutdown Miss Goodrem’s career continued to sparkle — sometimes literally with several eye-popping outfits on The Voice – in 2020. And although Team Delta weren’t victorious this time around, the gorgeous judge/mentor made headlines in other ways. Not only did she drop her new single “Solid Gold”, from her forthcoming album, which is a darn good self-descriptor for the nine-time ARIA winner, she also candidly revealed how she literally had to learn to speak again after suffering nerve damage to her tongue following a medical procedure. Having regained her voice, both creatively and literally, Australia’s beloved triple threat has once again shown the world how to overcome adversity and she is no doubt set to conquer it in 2021. Samara Weaving
Scoring one of her biggest roles to date in Ryan Murphy’s Hollywood series for Netflix, Samara Weaving continues her rise in Tinseltown. Although COVID-19 has undoubtedly blunted the impact of her latest film, Bill & Ted Face the Music, Samara has officially entered the ranks of the young Hollywood A-list with a string of new projects for screens silver and small. Next up, she will be appearing in the miniseries Nine Perfect Strangers with Nicole Kidman, which has scored serious Emmy bait before cameras have even started rolling. Samara is also set to officially become an action star, appearing as Scarlett in the G.I. Joe reboot Snake Eyes in 2021. Moreover, off screen Miss Weaving serves an ambassador for ultra-luxe Louis Vuitton, alongside the likes of Emma Stone, Jennifer Connolly and Alicia Vikander, which is a long way from her days in Summer Bay, but Samara remains as down to earth as ever. HOT is Samara.

Margot Robbie
Continuing her reign at the top of the Hollywood A-list, Margot started 2020 with her second Oscar nomination for her role in Bombshell. She also expanded her producing empire with the Hulu series Dollface, made by her own LuckyChap production company. In February, she dusted off her bat and pig tails for DC’s Birds of Prey (in which she both starred and co-produced) which currently stands as the sixth highest grossing film of the year. Then there’s her contract as a Chanel ambassador and host of upcoming projects including the thriller Bad Monkeys and a new David O. Russell drama with Christian Bale (we smell another Oscar nod). Never one to waste time, even during a pandemic, Margot recently teamed up with Hugh Jackman and Ben Simmons for an anti-racism campaign called #DoMore. Need any more reasons to love her?
4
Sam Kerr
Despite being sidelined for much of the year due to the pesky COVID-19, Samantha Kerr continues to be one of our greatest sportswomen on and off the pitch. Last November, she went global as she signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Chelsea in England’s Women’s Super League. Not only has she attracted the attention of the Poms, Sam is believed to have pocketed around two million in the deal. Befitting her GOAT status, Miss Kerr has been rated the second-best female player on the FIFA ’21 video game, with an impressive 93/99 score. Whether playing for the Matildas, Chelsea or even virtually, Sam is clearly redefining sporting success and making history one backflip at a time.

Elisha & Renee Herbert
Instagram’s favourite twinning duo, Elisha and Renee Herbert are polishing off another year of modelling, vacationing (where possible) and general influencing. Now stateside, they’re living in an idyllic world where life is perfectly filtered Insta posts and the pandemic almost never happened. The twins both have new blokes in their lives, too. Renee is currently shacking up with singer Bazzi, while Elisha is supposedly dating American actor Emile Hirsch, the latter which garners more media exposure. It’s simple really, if the Herbert sisters are posting, we’re watching.
6
Ellie Gonsalves
From GUESS girl to L’Oreal ambassador to actress on the rise… not even a pandemic can stop multiple MAXIM cover girl Ellie Gonsalves. After making her big-screen debut alongside Dwayne Johnson in Fighting with My Family, Ellie took to the small screen this year for the poignant SBS documentary series Filthy Rich & Homeless. Experiencing life on the streets for 10 days as part of program, she took viewers inside the grim reality facing tens of thousands of Australians each night. Putting her experiences into constructive action, Ellie has since raised over $10,000 to help out Eden, her rough-sleeping buddy from the show. Seriously, you’re a class act Ellie.
7
Sarah Magusara
Aussie teen Sarah Magusara is riding the TikTok wave. With 15.5 million fans (the equivalent of a decent-sized European country) she is Australia’s biggest TikToker. Aged just 19, Sarah shares everything from dancing challenges and relationship advice to her baby daughter Zamira. Of course, she is probably not sweating on a potential TikTok ban either from political leaders – she’s already amassed a healthy 1.4 million followers over on Instagram.
8
Casey Boonstra
A five-time MAXIM cover girl, our Boonie is the blueprint for where the title of MAXIM Australian Swimwear Model of the Year can take you. As one of our most popular finds, Casey is still based in L.A. where she continues to do the whole Hollywood thing – and we couldn’t be prouder. Juggling her modelling work with her EDGEtv hosting duties, Casey is definitely one to watch in 2021. And her ever-growing Instagram followers clearly agree!
9
Parnia Porsche
This year we saw Miss Porsche saunter down the beach with none other than Pamela “CJ” Anderson for the latest Ultra Tune TV commercial. Now based in Los Angeles, Parnia made her biggest stateside screen appearance to date on VH1’s Wild N Out alongside Nick Canon. With six MAXIM covers under her belt, we reckon it’s only a matter of time before Parnia goes full video vixen and becomes a Hollywood star. Watch this space.
10
Sophie Monk
This former Ultra Tune MAXIM HOT 100 winner kept us all thoroughly entertained during lockdown with her hilarious Instagram videos and advertisements for alcohol delivery service Jimmy Brings. She also appeared as the Dragonfly on the latest season of The Masked Singer, surprising literally nobody who’s ever heard the former Bardot singer. The real shocker was it took until the second season to have Soph on the show. Always in high demand for hosting, Monk is tipped to host another unnecessary revival of a lame reality show – this time it’s Beauty and the Geek on Channel Nine. Damn those Channel Nine execs — you know we’ll tune into practically anything featuring Miss Monk!
