Tell us a bit about yourself, Sayo.
I was the oldest girl in my family and was just a normal student at school. My modelling career kicked off when I was in college – my boyfriend, who I was dating with at that time, liked me dressing “sexy” so I tried to surprise him by modelling some sexy bikinis for him. I wasn’t serious at the first but now you can see I’m still doing it! To tell you the truth, it seemed like he didn’t really like my sexy surprises – I think he was actually more shocked!
What’s been your career highlight so far?
I have done some international shoots as a cover girl and some other projects outside of Japan. Check out my Instagram at @sayo_diary.
How can a man try to win you over?
By making me feel like I can be myself. I just like talking at the café or go for a drive somewhere with him gradually getting to know and liking the person. I have never experienced falling in love with someone at first sight.
Describe your ideal date?
It doesn’t matter wherever I go or whatever I do, as long as I’m with someone I like. Everyday life, such as just going to a café or walking in a park, would be just fine. If the person remembers what I like and makes some plans to make me happy, I’d love it because it seems like it’s especially for me only. One time a guy remembered I liked flowers and he took me to a flower garden – perfect!
What do you find attractive in a man?
When I see that a guy is full of confidence, when he looks at me gently and when I kiss him! I also feel secure when I hear a tender, calm voice. Although I can’t see him, I feel like he’d be my heartthrob.
